There Was A Time
I promise there will be no more titles with "THERE WAS A" for any further tunes.
Guitar George on Vocals
My good friend Craig on Lead guitar
Myself on rythms, keys, Drum Patterns, Mixing and Mastering.
Without George this song would not be here. He just took this thing to a rockin place and made it happen. Thanks George for all your help with this one. 8)

Thanks. I had fun. I always enjoy working on your songs.
I like Craig's playing, he's got some good licks, different to what I play.

Very nice, very powerful vocals.

Thanks for everybody's kind words. It was a fun song.
Bob..... ;D

Nice one. Your voice really suits this George. Interesting guitar playing. Different from most of the guys here. Similar but different. It's cool to hear some different styles of playing. A bass solo could have been intersting to break things up!! >:D Cool tune 8)

Thanks Dave......... A good friend of mine that I played in a band with down here in FLA played the lead for me. It was just off the top of his head in two takes. He certainly plays better than I do. Bass solo huh, never really thought of that but your right that might have worked. Maybe next time.

Great guitar and vocals!
Mixing-wise I'd suggest to integrate the vocals some more and bring up the lead guitar. But still good work!

I appreciate the input. My ears have gone flat after so many years of playing in rock bands. Even with head phones it's difficult. Not to mention that there is a lot going on in this mix. The last count I had was over 19 tracks. I will give your suggestions a try.............. Thanks Man

Bob, my ears are not very reliable either, unless I am really relaxed, and I only listened with cheap PC speakers - so don't take my observations for granted. It was just the impression I had, and I may be wrong.

Wow - this is an awesome slice of swamp blues rock!!
Great composition, interesting time signature and lovely unison riff playing on guitar and bass. The high class playing skills are evident. This is what real music is about :).
George, your vocals are getting better and better with each song you tackle - youve got a lovely tone in this as well.
Into the i-pod she goes!!
Have you guys heard the Atlanta Rhythm Section's "Spooky". In a way it reminded me a bit of that vibe.

Thanks very much for the kind words. This was a fun song to do. Yes George is the hit vocalist these days. He sang on another song of mine as well/ "There was a Party" He smoked that one as well.
You know this is a little like The Atlanta rythm section. "Spooky"
Thanks again
