Title: jet stream
Post by: soulfrontier on February 05, 2012, 06:02:43 AM
Hello MCS,

here's our brand new song. A big big THANK YOU to you guys! Johnny wrote the lyrics, then Dave came up with great rhythm guitars, Todd played the drums like a thunder and Andy, thank you for bass and keys! Fits like a glove mate. CD with his magic hands gave us a perfect mix and now we have a finished song! :)

David Patterson   (studioplayer)   e-guitars
Todd Vierra         (Thunder)        drums
Andy Gupta         (AndyG6508)    bass and organ
Holger Bremer      (soulfrontier)    music, vocals, harp
Johnny Williams    (Johnny)          lyrics
Mark Morgan-Shaw(CD)              mix and master

Jet-stream

(vs)
You prop me up
Then you knock me you down
This grand illusion's
become too profound

(vs)
Hold me close...
But try to care less
Write your pretty prose...
Who know, you might confess

(ch)
We're at that point
Where there's no return
The wind is on my wings
I'm letting all our bridges burn
Flying into the jet-stream
below me your world turns

(vs)
don't look back
Just the way it goes
I could never relax
I know it always showed

(vs)
From bitter tears
Flow bitter words
Rightous indignation
turning to absurd

(ch)
We're at that point
Where there's no return
The wind is on my wings
I'm letting all your bridges burn
Flying into the jet-stream
I leave with lessons learned

(harp solo)

I saw that look
Right behind your eyes
Visibly you shook
Behind your old disguise

(ch)

(br)
If we should meet again
You can call me friend
Or you can turn your back

(harp solo)

fly into the jet stream! fly into the jet stream! fly into the jet stream! fly into the jet stream!

Good one guys, thanks for letting me take part. I especially like the harp solo's.

- Holger ..all the songs I mix of yours seem to have sad stories about people leaving or friends drifting apart  ;D

interesting... ;)

so much of my early childhood, and youth was just that ???

my father was a career navy man...

"being transfered" ev'ry couple of years, came with the life  :o

In my memory...

these often appear as other lifetimes :D

Holger's music must be somehow channeling that stuff! ::) ;D

keep it up Holg, the later stuff get better!!! ;D

Cheers :)

This song takes me back to the 70s. Very nice, and Mark, this must be the first time ever that I have heard a retro mix from you. The vocals sit perfectly, great job!

The harp and the guitar are a bit fighting against each other (frequency-wise), and both the harp and the organ may be a tad too dominant, but that's just minor things. Great job, guys!

Regards,
  Steffen
