This is a new, beefed up mix of - IIRC - my first collaboration at MCS.
Lyrics: Casia
Vocals: Mark Lee Fletcher
Guitar: Brad Denney
Drums: Jerry Langenfeld
Bass: Kenny Bruce
Composed, arranged & mixed by Steffen Offermann
Regards,
Steffen

Sounds really good, Steffen. All the parts seem a lot clearer than on the old mix. :)
I didn't realize this was your first collab. And it was Casia's too I believe. That's pretty cool. :)

This was your first collab here Steffen ... well I'm honored LOL ... such a funny song haha. I haven't listened to this for such a long time.
It is AWESOME ... so glad you keep coming back to the old ones and revising them. You're never happy are you ;D! I don't know how you manage to get them so crisp and clear!!!!! This would make a great video.
Actually my first collab was "Dark Demons" with Dave.

I just have to post the lyrics again to follow along :) ... Originally done in September 2008
She Looks Fine
(INTRO)
My girlfriend's screamin, "Walk a mile in my shoes.
These clackers they clack, they're hurtin' my back."
(V1)
She says I stare when she walks by
Those clackers they clack, they've caught my eye
She wears those clackers from noon to nigh
Boy, oh boy, they've caught my eye
(V2)
Would I look at her when she walks by
In her bedroom slippers eatin' apple pie
Would I look at her if she ran past
In her dirty white sneakers smellin' like trash
(CHORUS)
But boy, oh boy, she looks fine
Boy oh boy, I'll give her some wine
Cause her feet are hurtin'
She needs to sit down
Her back's a breakin'
She's beginnin' to frown
(V3)
She double dares me to walk a mile in her shoes
Double dares me, I'll be wearing the blues
When I've got ten blisters and I'm sliding in the rain
When my back is a breakin' I'll feel her pain
(V4)
Every man should walk a mile in those shoes
So we understand what they're going thru
So I put on her clackers, I felt ten feet tall
King of the world, the hell with being small
(CHORUS)
Boy, oh boy don't I look fine
Boy oh boy, gimme some wine
Cause my feet are hurtin'
I need to sit down
My back's a breakin'
I'm beginning to frown
(BRIDGE)
My girlfriend don't double dare me no more
I wear her clackers when I go for a stroll
Boy oh boy I'm looking fine
I'm still a man's man, a regular guy
My girlfriend don't double dare me no more
If I can't wear clackers, I wear nothing at all
(CHORUS)
Boy, oh boy don't I look fine
Boy oh boy, gimme some wine
Cause my feet are hurtin'
I need to sit down
My back's a breakin'
I'm beginning to frown
(CHORUS)
But boy, oh boy, she looks fine
Boy oh boy, I'll give her some wine
Cause her feet are hurtin'
She needs to sit down
Her back's a breakin'
She's beginnin' to frown

Oh right, you said it was one of your first lyrics, not collabs. You had a ton of projects underway when you joined :o
This was the first time I was ever asked to sing something, so it's significant to me too :)
-
Really Mark ... well, then I'm honored twice on this song ;D ;D. I didn't actually think I'd find anyone who would have the guts to sing this, and it turned out so well.
Now, how many albums do you have finished?

Ha ha. I know, I'm pathetic :P Really though, now that I've decided to give away the songs, I no longer see much point to mastering each song into an album. Just getting listeners is hard enough :)
-
Exactly my words, Mark. I burn CDs for my friends, that's enough for me.

Oops, looks like that's not entirely true. Eugene asked me to sing They Call Us Infidels first, but She Looks Fine got finished first. :)

I think everyone should put one together once they've got enough material they are happy with. It's nice to have a final finished product from all the work that goes into them.

Sounds good and clear. It would be nice to hear the comparison from the old mix. Great vocals!! 8)

Why don't you check CD, it would be interesting to see if "Dark Demons" could get any better!

You know I listen to some of my old mixes and shudder but I won't change them, it was just how I mixed at that point in time - so I keep them warts and all, to remind me of the long journey along the infinite learning curve.
