Post by: Donna on November 09, 2012, 06:07:09 AM
Hope y'all enjoy this little number.  :)

Billy Playle: Music/instrumentation/production
Rosalind Loveluck: Vocals
Donna Devine: Lyric

Yard Sale

V1
I'm like a mismatched cup and saucer
A tangled mystery cord
A Tinker Toy, a Lego set
An old Punjabi sword

Chorus
But take me home with you baby
I might be somethin' you need
I'll be your Yard Sale, darlin'
Ain't no hunger I can't feed

V1
I'm like an almost antique painting
A winter coat in spring
A clock without its cuckoo
And a puppet with no strings

Chorus
But take me home with you baby
I might be somethin' you need
I'll be your Yard Sale, darlin'
Ain't no hunger I can't feed

Bridge
Your eyes show me a kind man
Not an 'I'll leave you behind' man
Like one I loved before
But I'm no longer his
I know you'll care for me 'as is'

Chorus
Please take me home with you baby
I might be somethin' you need
Take me home with you baby
I might be somethin' you need
I'll be your Yard Sale, darlin'
Ain't no hunger I can't feed

I'll be your Yard Sale darlin'
Ain't no hunger I can't feed

How much more authentic can it get? I'm not a big fan of jazz, to be honest, so it isn't really my cup of tea, but that's only a matter of taste. As far as craftmanship is concerned, there is nothing to complain about. Great performances by everybody, high quality lyrics and a nice mix too.

Regards,
  Steffen
