After learning of a friend's suicide, I couldn't help but put myself in his shoes and ponder my own mortality. This is the result...

Dying

I got the news today
I guess it comes as no surprise
I'm Dying

Special thanks to Bill and Carlo for helping with the song...and also to everyone who auditioned and provided mixing feedback. I don't think my singing is getting much better, but its fun to try sometimes.

I agree with Nicks comments above and the others as well.

A little John Lennon in here with a touch of Jazz. I like the strings and how these come in. I like the drum sounds. So Jeff you got the news have you! I got some news for you...
I like the bells and the ending as well. Some Pepper in there...

You are a gifted artist... I heard you work before and it's inspiring.

Its really nice when collaborations come together like this one did. We captured a mood...thats for sure.

It wouldn't have been nearly as good without Bill and Carlo's unique playing style. That took it to the next level. :)

I love pieces that ooze atmosphere, and this one is right up there.

Out of every bad thing comes something good, eventually.

Wouldnt be out of place on the Trainspotting soundtrack. Respect, guys.

An old friend of mine used to call this "Dobbers Down" music - stuff tyou want to listen to after midnight.  All the sounds were layered in quite nicely and I thought your vocals were a nice fit for the song.  I liked the bell chime a lot - conjured up images of a funeral.
