Title: Young Woman (usalab/mimmo/mrmom)
Post by: Mimmo on September 14, 2019, 07:50:07 AM
Another song ready for all to enjoy...Many thanks go to Terry (Usalabs) and John (Mr Mom) .

I thought I change the lyrics from an older song  and worked out quite well.

Music ; Terry Saunders
Lyrics ;John Scunziano/Mimmo Mercurio
Vocals/Mix/master ; Mimmo Mercurio

                                    Young woman
                    Mimmo Mercurio/John Scunziano

She was a young Woman...of only twenty-three...
I was married, and twice as old as she
Drove her home, from work one night
Said she loved me then she ran inside

I think so often of the words she said
watched her go and wondered why I did
She left the city went to finish school
Then San Francisco to try something new

Once in life, if you're one of the lucky few
Fate will step in... And true love will come to you
Seldom in life will you get a second chance
A second chance At true romance

I did not see her for a few long years
She came back, and was thrilled she was here.
We reminisced on all the times we missed
Parted way without a single kiss

Life is full of twists that can't be known
Sometimes seeds of love are never sown
Planned to chat when we had some time to kill
To share a coffee, but I'm waiting still

Hi Guys...
I will record the vocals over for this one, I had a few suggestions/ideas at a different site... So did some re-writhing on the lyrics. Just time to record the new ideas...Back in a few days.
Regards
Mimmo

New tracks completed.

After listening to some comments from other sites on this song I decided to change a few things lyrically...Here are the new mixes and lyrics...

                                Young woman
               Mimmo Mercurio/John Scunziano

She was a young Woman...of only twenty-three...
I was married, and twice as old as she
I Drove her home, from work one night
She put her arms around me... And she held me tight

She left the city went to finish school
Then to San Francisco to try something new
I think so often of that summer night
She held me tight and kissed me...then she ran inside
Once in life, if you're one of the lucky few
Fate will step in and... True love will come to you
Seldom in life will you get a second chance
A second chance... At true romance
I did not see her for a few long years
She came back, and was happy to be here.
We talked a long time and reminisced
Parted ways without a single kiss
Life is full of twists that can't be known
Sometimes seeds of love are never sown
Planned to chat when we had some time to kill
To share a coffee, but I'm waiting still
Once in life, Once in life,
            Once in life
