Hi MCS,
I am proud to present another collaboration with Jay (HDA). This time on a tune, which to my mind, is halfway between rock and soul.
I was incredibly lucky to work with a band comprising of Jay, Bill and John. They transformed my rough demo into something else.
Jay - I cant thank you enough for your stellar work on the arrangement, the soulful vocals and the layers of keys which so complement the song. Bill - your guitar work is exemplary as always, dig that retro reverb sound, the sweet solo, and the soaring harmony guitars in the end. John - I have heard many great tracks from you, but the drums are so perfect, a beautifully balanced display of controlled power.
And then lastly but not in the least, NickT's seasoned mastering skills added that extra bit of polish the song needed.

Thanks for the opportunity. This is yet another beautiful piece of writing and I thoroughly enjoyed being able to work on it. This is also the first mix I've done that I was actually happy with the end result! ;) A new wedding song classic me thinks!! :) You are a really really talented writer and fluently melodic bass player!

You absolutely sunk into the feel of the song and played it seemingly effortless. There could not have been a better drum track!

Thank you for being part of this song. Your playing was absolutely top notch (but then it always is). The dynamics were amazing, right from the delicate double stop solo down to the grand harmony laden lines towards the end!! And I loved the tremelo/reverb effect!

thanks so much. i am glad you liked the song. it was cool to be involved with the guys and get to record this one.
it was recorded, mixed and mastered over at the MCS Studios, Internet City :)
and yes, the concept of internet musical collaboration and the MCS site itself is simply amazing, until i chanced upon this site, i had no idea that music of the highest standard could be produced by a bunch of guys and gals not in the same room!!

Henry and Al's superb soul track jogged my memory therefore I had to dredge this soul based ballad from the archives....once again I am amazed at the wonderful talents of Jay, Bill and John.
