Title: Sonar Plug In Problem
Post by: mickbrit55 on February 21, 2012, 10:14:31 PM
Recently I installed the iZotope Ozone trial to give it a workout. Since doing this none of my Waves plug ins will load, in fact they crash Sonar, same if I try to load  a previous project that had a Waves plug in on them. The plug ins still appear in the available plug ins drop down but just crash Sonar. I think this problem may be something to do with JBridge, not sure. Any suggestions?

Mick.

If anyone is interested ....

Turns out that Ozone had about 20 instances of their iZotope.dll file thrown everywhere across my hard drive. Bit like the old days when we alll had AOL and could never un-install it properly. In the end had to do a complete re-install of Windows 7 and all my software to get it fixed. The tech at Waves said it may have been a registery conflict, although we worked on the registry for about 3 hours. I'll never buy an Ozone product that's for sure. If this is the way they code their install/uninstall programs who knows what their plugins are doing :(

There's something wrong there, Mick... I installed all their trial plugs, tried them and now I got them all unistalled... No probs at all.

Well, the uninstaller didn't clean the files up and I had to do it manually. Perhaps something went awry when I installed it ... i dunno.

Nasty.

I'm using Jbridge too now, since I moved to Win7 to get the waves plugins working.
