My singing and guitar playing, other music by guys on GuitarChaos site.

Using Pauls lyrics:

Steel Mill Kinda Man

(v1)
Steam a hissing
Pistons slamming
Hot metal flowing
It's a steel mill kinda town

(v2)
A hard man working
The smokestacks smoking
Days never ending
But nothing keeps him down

(chorus)
The gin mills are filled
And the beer's flowing
The tensions build
Tempers are showing
He's a steel mill kinda man
He'll end the night
In a barroom fight
Tomorrow, it starts over again
He's a steel mill kinda man

(v3)
Mangy dogs barking
Small children playing
Laundry's hanging
A blue collar kinda town

(v4)
His woman waiting
Late into the evening
Silently praying
The mill never shuts down

(chorus)
The gin mills are filled
And the beer's flowing
The tensions build
Tempers are showing
He's a steel mill kinda man
He'll end the night
In a barroom fight
Tomorrow, it starts over again
He's a steel mill kinda man

George can often be found playing stringy things, and singing...

George/Everyone:

This as a great feel to it, the arrangement is smooth.  It's funny I wrote this over eight years ago, one of my early postings here.  It's great to know that some of my words can be given life and I don't even know it.
Tks for giving this one life.

Paul

Nice job George. Nice laid back vocal, set right in a blues club in Pittsburg ;D.

Good lyric Paul.

Interestingly, I started out in the Steel Industry. After that moved into the Oil and Gas sector, thankfully, as the Steel Industry is dead in North America and Europe.

  • Professionalism is an attitude
You can't beat a dose of the blues.

Nicely put together with some nice guitar chops.

Enjoyed the listen, George.

Billy.

Good one GG..nice to hear you on something bluesy  8)
We never finish a mix... we simply abandon them.
You can't polish a turd, but you can always spray paint it GOLD
Great songs are not written, they are re-witten

I love the blues, they tell my story, if you don't feel it you can never understand  ;D

Very nice
Live the best you can 'cause you're gonna be dead for a long time.
Respect
