Yup, I too noticed that SONAR natively exports to FLAC now.
Also, check out
http://tlh.easytree.org/ ("Trader's Little Helper") which converts APE and FLAC files back and forth from WAV...I like its interface better than the Flac Front End because TLH works on Win7 and FFE doesn't.
