Thank you so much to the cast below for helping make this track come to life from post to completion in just 5 days.

Here's the story:

(So my 12 year old came home yesterday and said "Dad,.. I have to do a multimedia music project for school,... about my favorite musical artist,...and,.. I want to do it on you."

My heart melts as you can well enough imagine.  I start thinking about all the projects i have recorded on over the years,..and I start rhyming off titles of songs she could use and then she says,...

"..I want to present the song that you wrote for me."

It was a song I wrote for her after she was having a hard time falling asleep in her own bed,.. about 10 years ago.  I never did record it though.

then she says "... I need it by next thursday...  "

So,.. I tracked it today.  Anything anyone would like to offer is appreciated.

There is space for a guitar solo from 1:46 to 2:14.  I think Bass, Acoustic, Electric guitar and percussion would probably work great.

So my daughter has to present her project on Thursday.  She has it all structured out,... actually it was kinda fun looking up all the CD's I have been on over the years and finding all the old posters of bands that I played in.

She asked me to come in to the music class right at the end of the presentation and play/sing a song for the class.

I'm still really floored by the whole thing.

Man I love my kids!!

Wow Jay - good work!

Finished quite quickly as well.

Nicely constructed pop tune, great performances from all involved, specially the guitar solo.

Re Eq'd and Heated up the mix (now that I had time).

The presentation was awesome.  I showed up at the end of it and played a song for the class.  I don't know her mark yet but the kids in her class told her they thought it was pretty cool.
