4shared's Ass kicked by Soundcloud

We all know 4shared is a pain , and Yousendit links expire and I've even gone over the 100mb file size they allow - I saw this featured in the new Sound on Sound that dropped through the letterbox today.

They described it as Flikr for audio  , check it out and see what you think

It looks pretty useful to me and has accounts from Free up to Pro , so I've signed up to give it a try.

I signed up for soundcloud a few days ago...Cant remember how I got to the site...im pretty sure it was a link in an email or something...have not had a chance to use it much except upload an mp3 to check it out.

Looks pretty interesting.  Not sure I'm big on the way they measure audio with "tape" though... I'd prefer to just stick to a file size limit.

My fav is still Dropbox and it's free.  Even does the sync, I just copy the track I wanna post to a local folder on my machine and it takes care of the rest.  2G free space and you can give "public" links to whoever you want (i.e. they don't need to know your login to get at the files).
