A little pop-rocker. Many thanks to Tricia for the lyrics and the vocals, as always she did an awesome job!

Lyrics, melody, vocals and backup vocals : Tricia Dovidio
Music : Mick Lovering

Burned by love
Tricia Dovidio (c)2013

He had the  bluest eyes
That I'd ever seen
Back when Love was timeless,
and evergreen
We were young, we were wild
reaching for the star
I could look into those eyes
Id see so far

We were ready to take..
Take On the world
We could Make our magic
along the way
With my brains And your beauty
Wed have No way to lose
Just a million ideas
To light our fuse

ch:
Never saw the hills of Hollywood
Never did the world a bit of good
But I still see those eyes of blue
Burned by a love so true
Never saw the hills of Hollywood
Never did the world a bit of good
But I still see those eyes of blue
Burned by a love so true

Now time, yes Time can
 take its toll
And minds and hearts
cannot Control
The pain can be too much
For two
And dreams and plans
Fall through

Ch:
Never saw the hills of Hollywood
Never did the world a bit of good
But I still see those eyes of blue
 Burned by love so true
Never saw the hills of Hollywood
Never did the world a bit of good
But I still see those eyes of blue
Burned by a love so true
Burned by love....

love that guitar thing right before the lyrics starts...has a really cool feel.

rock-n-roll ain't pretty --- that's why they picked us to play it.

Thanks Mark. That racket is just a natural harmonic on the E string moving down the fretboard. Glad you like it :)

Hmm ... maybe I tracked it a bit sloppy? I just checked it with the metronome and it was ok. Strange.

  • sing
    • Hair by Tricia
I only noticed it at the beginning, right where vocals come in... somethings were not tight at the first crash... it took me a few tries to sing the first line.

Yep, definitely something wrong. I'll re-track the takes and see whats up.

Nice song ...But something is wrong at about 40 seconds in... I feel something just before the singing starts as if it was clipped or something like that.
Mimmo
Love songs...and more
