The mix still is not anywhere close to acceptable, but I cannot hear the song anymore. I need a couple of months to get rid of the tune and sound of it before I can try another mix.

yup.... that's funny.. when you listen over and over to a song... the only way to get it the way you want is just to leave it alone.... come back at a future time with fresh ears and ideas...
And I know you've got a whole bunch of tunes already rattling around in that head of yours....  You pump out more tunes and ideas than a Jukebox...

I could post ten songs a day for a year or so ... without writing any new one, that is.

Guys, I will do a completely new mix from scratch. My head was full of other tasks, and I shouldn't have even tried to mix this song when I had no time for it. The result is miserable ...
