Alright!! Another rocker done.  :) This one really came out fantastic. 8) Great words by John and exactly what I was looking for. I really like to do songs with some meaning and the worlds issues at hand. We really need to wake up and take care of this place and ourselves before it's too late!!  :( Thanks John!! There's some really great lines in there. "Who plays the fiddle... while we all burn" , "As smoke stacks spew... the rainfall burns" Nice!!

Everyone did a great job. Jwoo pulled off some 'killer' drums a usual. He really knows how to feel a song. There's some really 'insane' drumming going on in the later half. Nice beats and great timing throughout  8) George's 'insane' vocals just takes this right over the top. Really well thought out and the intro and bridge just takes it into another level. Love the 'insane' bit. Crazy man!!  Who knew he could sing like that. :D Jays keys really adds additional melody & effects to this tune. Fills out the whole song with some much needed sounds. Good choices on the sounds btw. The bridge is cool and the main riff throughout is pretty cool.  8) What can I say... You guys ROCK!! and the song rocks!! as it should!!  >:D

THANKS GUYS !!

Dave

  Tragedy

Toxic this, toxic that, don't know where the answer's at
Goin' green, go insane, help me stop this crazy train
Toxic this, toxic that, don't know where the answer's at
Goin' green, go insane, help me stop this crazy train

This toxic air...  that we all breath
It's killing me...  and killing trees
The  water source... it is diseased
It's full of mans... impurities

Man just don't care... about his  needs
Will rape  the earth... for corporate greed
When will we care... for land and air
Not till the earth... can't be repaired

It's Tragedy... it's tragedy
No strategy.... for this tragedy
What do we do... where do we turn
As smoke stacks spew... the rainfall burns

The painful answer...
is pain will come
It's never simple...
it's never fun.

It's Tragedy... it's tragedy
No strategy.... for this tragedy
What do we do... where do we turn
As smoke stacks spew... the rainfall burns

End times are comin...
if we don't change.
Those who mock science
must be insane.

It's Tragedy... it's tragedy
No strategy.... for this tragedy... e eee     yeah

Toxic this, toxic that, don't know where the answer's at
Goin' green, go insane, help me stop this crazy train
Toxic this, toxic that, don't know where the answer's at
Goin' green, go insane, help me stop this crazy train

It's Tragedy... it's tragedy
No strategy.... for this tragedy
What do we do... where do we turn
Who plays the fiddle... while we all burn

It's Tragedy... it's tragedy
No strategy.... for this tragedy
What do we do... where do we turn
Who plays the fiddle... while we all burn

Thanks Dave,
I had a great time being involved with this. I'm so glad George thought to ask me to take a stab at the lyrics, but who knew that George would just blow us away with his vocal rendition. You had an excellent song to begin with, that just got better with each addition. John's drums are a welcome sight and sound to ANY song, and when you guys felt there was still something missing in the mix - along comes Jay, and after what he did with his keys - the previous versions sound almost hollow in comparison.
I can honestly say I see why you love collaborating so much - you just never know what the final outcome will be, until the final outcome. :)
Damn it Jim! I'm a WRITER - not a Doctor!!

Fantastic song and performances!  George nailed the vox.  Great tight bass line.  Love the machine-gun drums in the mid-section.  And killer retro organ licks :)

Thanks guys. Appreciate the comments.  :)

Jay...a pleasure having you play on this. Lets do more!!   :)

John. You hit the nail on the head. You just have to be open to everyones input and let the song evolve as it may. The final outcome is always good. The earlier versions without the keys sounds really thin if you compare it. If you didn't ever hear keys on this you would probably think it was fine but man it sure fills up some nice space now. Thanks for the help bro!!  :)

Dave

BTW.. I tried to upload a wav/ape file but it was close to 100megs so it would load up. If I make it to 16 bit instead of 24 it would be half the size. May have to do that.  :-\

retro/70's  organ!, no way  :o :o :o :o :o

that's where the modern groove is at. Whaddya you guys know anyway.

I loved doing this, and it turned out great.  :) :) :)

Dave/John, I though we were going to call this 'It's Tragedy' to avoid confusion with the Bee Gees hit?

George can often be found playing stringy things, and singing...
