My first collab on MCS. Thanks for the support, gang. A special thanks to Tricia for writing the vocal melody.

LOVE IS A CURSE.  toadman (c) 2011
Tricia & Guitar George - vocals
Smurf - Drums
toadman - Guitars, bass, keys.

Verse 1;We shared a bed, kept two children fed
           And watched them grow
We kept a light on through the night
           Hoped they'd never go
Some days we eased their pain, bought them in from the rain
We tried never to say no

Chorus; But time is a tide, a wave you ride
Lookin' for a place to land
And love's a curse, it just gets worse
We shed our tears, faced our fears
           And watched those boys go

Verse 2;We kept their shoes and hidden from view
Laughed at the words they'd say
We kept a smile and all the while
           Waited for the coming day
When they'd up and leave and we would grieve
For the words we never got to say

Thanks, Tricia.
Being new around these parts, is this the time that I remove all my attached files? And ask others to remove theirs?

Great first collab Toadman.   George & Tricia sound great together especially when they sing really tight to each other, and it's nicely mixed.

The intro went on twice as long as I wanted it to but once the vocals kicked in I really enjoyed the listen  ;D

CD
We never finish a mix... we simply abandon them.
You can't polish a turd, but you can always spray paint it GOLD
Great songs are not written, they are re-witten

I never downloaded the mix form this thread, please can you re-post.

You only need to clean up form the project thread in Studio A.

Good work gang.

The chiming guitars and the excellent duet evoke a relaxed trippy feeling. Nice singing GG, and it's good to hear Tricia after quite a while.
