Ahh the dreaded driver latency issue.... I think almost everyone goes through it.

We never finish a mix... we simply abandon them.

No, back then it was more like "Crap!  We're almost out of tape!"  or "Yes sir, the heads are damaged beyond repair and it will be about 3 months to get new ones and they will be $500 each" or the worst of all ... "CRAP!  I hit the wrong button and just recorded over everything except the bass track and we need to start again" .. or "Man, I wish I didn't have to bounce this again just because I need one more track"

Think I only ever had one chewed up Adat tape, still works now..I've been transferring stuff to Sonar fror remixing.

Never had a problem with my Fostex X28H  ;D
