A wonderful pop song written by our new singer/songwriter Anna (MemphisMaiden). Anna had an original version with just vocals and acoustic guitar, so we decided to do more of a production version and I think it turned out well. We had a few technical hitches - cats sleeping in saxes, goats in cars  - but we managed to overcome! :)

I  want to extend a warm thank you to Peter for answering my PM and coming back to produce a great sax track for us. There is always work for you here, buddy :)

Anna : Vocals, lyrics and melody.
Jwoo : Drums and percussion
Peter : Sax
Andreas : Bass
Steffen : Sax mixing and general mixing help
Mick : Guitars, Keyboards, Mixing/Mastering

Very funny Spok ... now beam down my trousers.

Nice one gang :).

It's a got a live folk-sey feel to it.

Anna, congratulations on your first completed collab, I see you were well supported by a great bunch of guys and pretty decent musicians they are too :).

Andy

Nice tune
Not usually a fan of sax but loved it in this.
rock-n-roll ain't pretty --- that's why they picked us to play it.

A woman is on trial for beating her husband to death with his guitar collection.
The judge says "First offender?"
The woman says "No, first a Gibson, then a fender."

Lots of efforts worth spending. Turned out nicely in the end, Mick! Congratulations to Anna for her first finished collab at MCS, and kudos to everybody who was involved.

Regards,

This is very interesting with some unexpected and lovely sounds ... folksy and a somewhat Bavarian element !!!  For some reason it reminds me of the "Sound of Music".  Love the sax and I AM a BIG fan of the sax BTW, adds a jazzy element.  A Great Hook.

And congrats on your first collab here Anna.  It went really fast.

Very good.

Goats?
George can often be found playing stringy things, and singing...

Very good.

Goats?

Peter found his cat sleeping in his sax and Anna went to a party and found a goat in her car ... strange world :)

Mick.

So Peter had to "hair" the sax case out while Anna had to "air" the car out later?

I thought George was alluding to Goats PLanes and Automobiles?

Very good.

Goats?

We also used a spooky box on this tune. Another MCS first.  :)

What's a spooky box?  Is that like a Jack in the Box - cause, that is damn spooky  :o, could give one nightmares.  Just popping up unexpected like that ... poor kids.

What's a spooky box?

I'm not certain to be quite honest. But we've got one on the vocals.
I think the spooky box is what changes electricity into phantom power for the microphone, but that's just a guess. I'd rather not know for sure one way or the other - it sounds very supernatural, this witchcraft that singers go through.

:)
