Lyrics

A Better Man

Don't fall in love with me
I'm not where I want to be
I'm not ready for romance
You call me every day
I feel I should walk away
I just don't want to hurt you
Chorus
Wait hold on
gotta have a little patience baby
Wait hold on
I know I don't desrve a second chances
I don't want to let love get away this time
And be a fool again
Verse Two
I know your faith in me
It's hard right now for you to see
Girl I promise I'm trying
We'll make it through the storm
I'll be there to keep you warm
Wrap my arms all around you
Chorus
Wait hold on
gotta have a little patience baby
Wait hold on
I know I don't desrve a second chances
I don't want to let love get away this time
And be a fool again
Bridge
This promise you right now
I will give my all some how
from this moment on
Chorus
Wait hold on
gotta have a little patience baby
Wait hold on
I know I don't desrve a second chances
I don't want to let love get away this time
And be a fool again
And be a fool again
And be a fool again

it's good to see this make it over to the finished forum.
this was already a good song before any of us contributed here at mcs.
glad i could provide something worthy of being included in this as i love the tune.
i was actually listening to this yesterday and was thinking we may have our very own David Crosby here at mcs in Doc (Henry) for his fantastic back up harmony vocals.
the way the back ups are in this remind me a bit of the type of harmonies you would hear from Crosby in a CS&N tune.
great job on a great tune.
thanks...
rock-n-roll ain't pretty --- that's why they picked us to play it.

Thanks everyone for all your kind words. This one was a lot of work, but I think it was worth it. I am very happy about the way it turned out. I can always count on getting that extra bit of help to finish a song from all you guys at MC.

Thanks again

Wow, great vocals...sure have a good set of pipes there....everyone played a great part too.

A pretty powerful track you have here.

CD

We never finish a mix... we simply abandon them.
You can't polish a turd, but you can always spray paint it GOLD
Great songs are not written, they are re-witten

Thanks CD......  Coming from you that is a great compliment.   Yes the vocalist (TOM) was a great find for me. He lives right down the street from me and now we get together a couple of nights a week and just write stuff. It's been a lot of fun.

Thanks again......... Bob
